I'd encourage you to talk with a Davis Facilitator about your needs to get a sense of ...

Re: Body mechanics and dyslexia

Megan, your body awareness issues can definitely be tied to dyslexia -- both are symptoms of disorientation. The Davis approach includes orientation training combined with koosh ball practice -- these are described in the book The Gift of Dyslexia . As you are still in college I think you might find...

Re: Will the Davis method work for me

Dia, The key factor to success with Davis methods is level of motivation -- so the short answer is that if the facilitators you have talked to have recommended the program, then it will work if you want it to. Another way of thinking about this is: a Davis facilitator will work with you to find and ...

Re: B and D

Re: Symbol Mastery corrections

Do you have the home kit, or are you just working from the book?

If you don't have the kit already, I think you will find that the manual and video that comes with the kit will help you in guiding your daughter.

Re: Mind's eye

When Ron Davis first was working with clients in 1980, he thought each person's mind's eye would be different, so he would spend hours and often days with each client allowing them...

Re: do I have dyslexia?

From what you wrote, I had the impression that the mistakes you make while reading happened often enough to make it difficult for you to keep up in school. I did mean to say the problems you describe are typically experienced with dyslexia. Everyone, dyslexic or not, occasionally makes mistakes with...
